Citywire RIA features Moneta Advisor Susan Brown

Moneta Advisor Susan Brown won an NCAA Division III women’s basketball national championship in 2001 at Washington University in St. Louis. Citywire RIA interviewed her about how that experience influences her career as a financial advisor at Moneta. Her comments were featured in an article with other former college basketball players who are now working in the financial services industry.

There are practical benefits of a college basketball career as well. Many ex-players interviewed by Citywire highlighted time management, discipline and attention to detail as crucial skills they picked up during their on-court careers.

‘Those are all life skills that really translate once you’re in the working world,’ said Moneta advisor Susan Brown, who won an NCAA Division III national championship in 2001 at Washington University in St. Louis. ‘I would say it was an easy transition, just because I felt well-prepared, having learned a lot of life skills during my time in school. It was basically a full-time job, and balancing that along with school, you had to learn how to do things pretty effectively and efficiently.’
