Mark Sandquist leads the Private Markets group for the Finerty team and works closely with family office clients.  

He joined Moneta after two years within the Raymond James Investment Bank, where he was a director in the private funds advisory (PFA) business. Prior to that, he spent six years with the PFA business at Moelis & Co., where he advised high-profile private market General Partners on their fundraising strategies that resulted in multiple oversubscribed fundraises. 
 
Mark also spent 10 years at Summit Strategies, an institutional investment consulting firm where he was a principal and co-head of private markets. His clients there committed approximately $4 billion a year across private equity, venture capital, private credit, and real assets. He also set up and raised capital for a fund of funds and co-investment fund.  

Before his time at Summit, Mark worked in the CFO office of three different companies with increasing responsibilities across accounting, finance, and corporate treasury. 

Mark earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois, an MBA from DePaul’s Kellstadt School of Business, and is a CFA® Charterholder.  

Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, is an avid golfer, and loves to be in the mountains.
