Stephen Hoerr joined the Sward team as an Advisor in 2021. He enjoys working at Moneta because of its adherence to the fiduciary duty, the Family CFO structure and the opportunity to plan multiple aspects of each client’s financial picture.

Steve grew up in south St. Louis city and earned his BSBA in Accountancy and MBA from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri. Prior to Moneta, Steve worked as a tax associate for KPMG and a senior tax accountant at E3 Tax in St. Louis. His background involves tax return preparation and consulting, and he is a licensed CPA. Steve also earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation to provide a higher level of service and expertise using comprehensive approaches involving tax strategies, investments and wealth planning for individuals and families.

Outside Moneta, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, playing tennis, ultimate frisbee, cooking and trying new restaurants. He is an avid Cardinals fan and supports the Memphis Grizzlies of the NBA. Steve and his family currently live in Shrewsbury and are involved with their local parish.
