Matt Sallaberry

Partner

CEPA, CFP®

Matt Sallaberry’s expertise is about more than just money – it’s about people, dreams, and the journeys to achieve them. He draws from more than two decades in the finance industry to help a diverse group of clients achieve their most personal and most important family financial goals.

Matt joined Moneta in 2017 after 17 years as a commercial lender with extensive experience in business development, corporate risk assessment, and business consulting. He began his career at La Salle Bank in Chicago before moving back to his hometown, St. Louis, to serve as Vice President of Commercial Lending for Enterprise Bank & Trust.

Matt’s professional journey equipped him with relevant advice that resonates with clients from many different walks of life, but his background in corporate finance developed a particular acumen and interest in helping business owners achieve their financial objectives. As a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA), he leverages this specialized expertise to assist business owners in managing, maximizing and monetizing the value of what is often their largest and most illiquid asset: the business itself.

Matt graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. In 2016, he was honored by the St. Louis Business Journal as a “40 Under 40” award recipient [1].

Outside the office, Matt’s life is rich with family, fitness, and purpose. He spent nearly a decade on the Board of Directors for the Independence Center, which provides services and resources to people with serious and persistent mental illness and has also served as the President of the Marquette Alumni Club of St. Louis for nearly 20 years.

Matt enjoys personal fitness, fly fishing, and volunteering. Most of all, he cherishes time spent with his wife and their three children.
