Matt McGowan

Matt McGowan joined The CWJ Team in July 2026, drawn to the team’s collaborative culture and client-first approach.

Prior to joining the team, Matt worked as a Financial Planning Associate at Stepp and Rothwell, where he prepared comprehensive financial plans for high-net-worth families.

Matt holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and an MBA from Missouri State University, earned in December 2024 and December 2025, respectively. During his time there, he served as Captain of the Men’s Ice Hockey team and President of the Missouri State Hockey Players’ Board.

Matt enjoys this industry because it combines problem solving with meaningful client relationships.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys ice hockey, golf, playing games, and spending time with friends and family.
