Laura Hessel

Senior Advisor

CFP®, CDFA™

Laura Hessel cultivates long-lasting relationships with clients as a Senior Advisor on the McGinnis Brown Taylor Team. Laura’s goal is to understand each aspect of her clients’ financial lives to serve their best interests.

Laura began working as an intern at Moneta while attending St. Louis University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) in Economics and Finance. Drawn to the service aspect of Moneta’s Family CFO approach, she joined the team in a full-time role after graduation. She was promoted to Advisor in 2010 and then Senior Advisor in 2016. When Moneta opened its first expansion office in Denver, Laura became the firm’s first advisor to move to the new location. Working in tandem with locally hired talent, she is excited about how this move helps her team serve its existing clients in the Denver area, and she looks forward to starting new relationships as well.

Today, Laura constantly looks for opportunities to further her education and gain a deeper understanding of the finance industry. She continues to expand her responsibilities and expertise to provide the best service to clients.

As an example of this, Laura took an additional role at the firm level as Vice President of Advisory Services. She works with advisory teams joining Moneta to help them make a successful transition into the firm. She also develops training curriculum for Moneta’s “Path to Advisor” and New Advisor training.
