As Family CFO, Moneta Partner Gus Gast works with each of his clients to create a comprehensive, long-term plan that helps them come to terms with their goals and values. During this process, Gus most enjoys the variety of challenges that each of his clients bring. With clients consisting mostly of active and retired executives, professionals, and business owners, Gus approaches their unique concerns in a personalized way that is best suited to the individual client.
Gus earned his B.S. in Accountancy from the University of Illinois. His first experiences in the financial services industry were in public accounting at Price Waterhouse, now PriceWaterhouseCoopers, and later as treasurer handling banking, SEC reporting, and mergers and acquisitions in a publicly-traded company in an evolutionary phase. He then worked in ground-floor involvement in two start-up companies.
Having been first exposed to Moneta as a client, Gus has experienced both sides of financial advising and understands the concerns and expectations that clients have. Now as a Family CFO, Gus knows that a consistent, disciplined approach and sufficient time and resources to oversee a comprehensive financial plan are important for long-term financial success. Gus works with his team to identify issues clients have and put solutions in place that will lead to a successful financial future.
Gus and his wife, Kelly, have three children. When not coaching or cheering on his children in various sports from the sidelines, he enjoys hunting and golf.
