Duke Mooney is focused on creating an easy, transparent, and responsive client experience. As a Client Service Manager on the Everland Sandry Team at Moneta, he is always ready to step in, answer questions, and help ensure clients have the information and support they need.
Duke joined Moneta because of the firm’s genuine commitment to clients and colleagues alike. He was drawn to Moneta’s belief that financial advisors should always act in their clients’ best interests and prioritize meaningful, long‑term relationships over volume. For Duke, starting his career at a firm that values quality, care, and integrity was essential. Moneta stood out as a place where those values are lived every day.
Duke is actively working toward earning his CFP® designation and is eager to continue deepening his knowledge across all facets of comprehensive financial planning. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and a Certificate in Financial Planning from the University of Missouri, equipping him with both the technical foundation and service‑oriented mindset he brings to his work with clients today.
Prior to joining Moneta, Duke gained hands‑on experience as a Wealth Management Intern at Sundvold Financial while completing his college studies. There, he learned that financial planning goes beyond numbers and analysis, requiring compassion, active listening, and a personal connection with clients. Observing how thoughtful planning could truly change lives confirmed his decision to pursue a career in financial services.
Duke’s background also includes time spent as a property hand and beekeeper, as well as serving as a tour guide at the University of Missouri. These experiences helped shape his strong work ethic, appreciation for hands‑on learning, and ability to build personal connections with people from all walks of life. Together, they strengthened his communication skills and reinforced the importance of service, adaptability, and teamwork.
Outside of the office, Duke enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors. He loves hiking, fishing, road trips, and tennis, and he’s always on the lookout for new music to share with friends and family. Duke also volunteers with a therapeutic recreation program for adults with special needs, an experience that has long been a meaningful part of his life.
