Cynthia Kirkpatrick

Cynthia Kirkpatrick believes financial planning is about far more than money. It’s about helping people gain confidence in their future, navigate life’s transitions, and make decisions that align with what matters most to them. She is passionate about building meaningful relationships with clients and helping them find clarity amid complexity. For Cynthia, one of the most rewarding parts of her work is seeing clients leave a meeting feeling reassured, empowered, and confident that they’re going to be okay.

With more than 26 years of experience in accounting, finance, and wealth management, Cynthia brings both technical expertise and genuine care to every client relationship. She has spent more than 13 years at Moneta helping individuals and families navigate important financial decisions, from retirement and tax planning to wealth transfer and life’s unexpected challenges.

Cynthia began her career at RubinBrown as a public accountant, working in audit and individual taxation, before joining Edward Jones in its Finance Division. It was there that she discovered her passion for investments and realized her true calling was helping people use their financial resources to support the lives they want to build. That realization ultimately led her to wealth management.

She was drawn to The CWJ Team because of its culture of collaboration, respect, and service. Cynthia values being part of a team that shares her commitment to putting clients first and creating an environment where both clients and team members can thrive.

Cynthia holds both the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) designations. She earned bachelor’s degrees in accounting and mass communications from Lindenwood University, graduating summa cum laude. While at Lindenwood, she balanced academics with roles as a student-athlete, accounting intern, college radio DJ, and elected student representative to the National Broadcasting Society’s Board of Directors.

Her commitment to leadership and service extends beyond her professional work. Cynthia serves on the Missouri Athletic Club Board of Governors and has been recognized as a Missouri Athletic Club Woman of Distinction[1]. In 2026, she was named to Small Business Monthly’s Most Admired Business Leaders list[2] and was selected as a St. Louis Magazine A-List Winner in the Financial Advisor category [3]. She is also active with FOCUS St. Louis, St. Louis FORUM, and Zonta Club of St. Louis, and has served as a mentor through the St. Louis Business Journal’s Mentoring Monday program.

Outside the office, Cynthia enjoys spending time with her husband, JJ, and their three children, Cole, Mallory, and Josie. She is the founder and host of The She Lift Project, a podcast and community dedicated to elevating women through shared stories of leadership, resilience, and growth. A lifelong learner, she can often be found listening to audiobooks and podcasts, and she has maintained a daily running streak since May 2020.
