Chad Williams

Partner

CFP®, CPWA

Chad Williams acts as a personal CFO to his clients—helping them align their financial decisions with what matters most. He provides guidance through every stage of life, whether clients are preparing for retirement, navigating a career change, or pursuing a greater purpose through charitable giving.

Chad’s strength lies in his ability to bring clarity and structure to complex financial conversations while creating space for meaningful reflection. He is committed to delivering proactive advice, tailored strategies, and a deeply personal experience rooted in each client’s unique goals and values. With an analytical mind and a relational heart, Chad strives to help clients live intentionally—with confidence and peace of mind.

For Chad, wealth management has always been about more than portfolios and performance—it’s about people, purpose, and the long arc of a life well lived.

As his team grew, Chad found himself increasingly pulled into the operations of running a business, which left less time for what he values most: walking alongside clients through life’s most meaningful decisions.

“I joined Moneta because they share that same client-first philosophy,” Chad said. “Their depth of resources and commitment to excellence free me to focus more fully on serving clients—listening deeply, planning thoughtfully, and helping each person steward their wealth in ways that align with their values, their goals, and the legacy they want to build.”

Chad began his career with American Express Financial Advisors in 1999. Later that year, he joined CIMCO Private Wealth, where he served for nearly 15 years. During his tenure, he led the firm’s investment committee, developed lasting relationships with clients, and served as Chief Operating Officer from 2007-2012. In 2014, he joined Aveo Capital Partners as a Private Wealth Advisor, continuing his mission of aligning wealth with purpose for individuals and families.

Chad holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and environmental biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He earned the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) designation through coursework at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) professional.

Originally from upstate New York, Chad now lives in Colorado with his wife and their four boys. Together, they enjoy an active life filled with skiing, hunting, fishing, tennis, and traveling. Passionate about giving back, Chad actively supports organizations like Cross Purpose, prison ministries, and several local nonprofits committed to community transformation.
