Avery Starnes

Client Service Manager

A proud graduate of the University of Missouri, Avery holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Banking, an Economics minor, and an Investment Certificate. During her time at Mizzou, she was honored to be selected as one of the top 2% of incoming business students for the Cornell Leadership Program (CLP). Through CLP, she had the opportunity to participate in invaluable experiences, including visiting the New York Stock Exchange and traveling to Havana, Cuba.

Avery has always had a natural gift for connecting with others, a trait that has influenced both her personal and professional journey. Her journey with Moneta started after moving from her hometown of St. Louis to Kansas City. Being from St. Louis, her draw to Moneta was obvious. With its genuine care and service for its clients, Moneta always aims to execute a “raving fan” experience.

Prior to joining Moneta, Avery began her career in Private Banking at JP Morgan and Bank of America, where she gained experience ranging from portfolio management to account services. Her interest in wealth management began at a young age when she learned about investing from her father, a strong influence and role model in her personal and career development.

Avery is excited to be a part of the Sward Team and looks forward to both her professional and personal growth on the team. In her free time, she enjoys trying new recipes, volunteering as a Big Sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, exploring her new home in Kansas City, and cheering on the Chiefs and Mizzou Tigers. She also enjoys staying connected with friends and family through countless Facetimes and has a deep love for travel—ask her about her month-long adventure in Europe with only a carry-on!
