Anthony Aiazzi

Partner

CPA, CFA, CFP®

As a Partner on the Halls Dorn Aiazzi Team at Moneta, Tony Aiazzi is first and foremost an advocate for his clients. Through a broad and deep understanding of the many technical aspects of financial planning, Tony builds trusting relationships with his clients by applying that technical expertise to their unique situations – helping them build a successful financial future.

Tony’s greatest attribute may be his skeptical nature. Educated as an accountant, and serving nearly six years as a corporate auditor, it is rare he leaves a stone unturned in finding solutions and developing financial strategies for his clients. This, as much as his technical expertise, is what has historically built his clients’ trust.

Tony focuses on families who have complicated financial situations, particularly where his thorough understanding of the tax code and related tax strategies can help defer or eliminate taxes – one of his personal primary goals when assisting clients. Whether ferreting through client tax returns to identify missed deductions or tax savings opportunity, or coordinating with his clients’ tax preparers to implement tax-saving strategies, Tony’s client advocacy shows through. This said, his knowledge of other financial planning disciplines such as estate planning, risk management and – of course – investment management, is likewise broad and deep and he is equally diligent in employing this technical expertise for his clients’ benefit.

For corporate retirement plans, Tony’s strong communication ability and affable approach make him an excellent resource to plan participants. With his retirement plan clients, he puts strong focus on participant education programs – headlined by ongoing, in-person education sessions that help manage participant investment behaviors and encourage strong savings discipline. He is also a valuable fiduciary resource to his plan sponsors.

Tony graduated with honors from University of Missouri – Columbia in 2007, where he earned his B.S. in Accounting and Masters in Accountancy. Prior to joining Moneta, Tony was a Senior Auditor at RubinBrown in St. Louis. He joined Moneta to develop a much broader skill set and to experience a more collaborative team approach to working with clients. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant (“CPA”), Tony is a CHARTERED FINANCIAL ANALYST® and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®.

Outside of Moneta, Tony is active in the St. Louis community and the St. Clement of Rome Parish. He lives in Des Peres with his wife and their three children.
