Andy brings more than three decades of experience in storytelling, communications, and media strategy. His career began in broadcast journalism, where he served as a Producer and Field Producer in top network affiliate newsrooms across St. Louis (NBC), Nashville (NBC), Memphis (CBS & NBC), and Chattanooga (ABC). He has covered local, regional, national, and global stories, earning an EMMY® Award for his work on the St. Louis Rams Super Bowl parade in 2000 and receiving three additional EMMY nominations.
After his time in journalism, Andy spent nearly 20 years in public relations with The Vandiver Group and Lambert, a PR News Agency Top 100 firm. He led national and international training programs in media relations, presentation skills, and storytelling, while also serving as an agency lead within crisis communications and corporate reputation. His work spanned sectors including gaming and hospitality, health care, and wealth management.
Andy currently serves as a Governor for the Mid-America EMMY® Awards, where he co-chairs the Digital Media division and judges at the national level. He also volunteers on the Board of Ambassadors for St. Patrick Center in St. Louis.
In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, traveling and spending time with his wife and daughter.
Andy has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Economics and Sociology from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN, and he is a graduate of the Poynter Institute, a school for journalists, in St. Petersburg, FL.
