Amanda Schmidt

Advisor

CFP®, ChFC®, CLU®

Amanda Schmidt joined Moneta as an Advisor in 2017 because she wanted a deeper, more intimate and less sales-oriented relationship with her clients. At Moneta she found the opportunity to serve a much smaller number of clients, allowing her the opportunity to provide a far greater breadth of advice with more personal attention to each of them.

A quick study, Amanda quickly built her financial planning knowledge to an expert level. She has the unique ability to apply that knowledge in a manner that not only serves the clients’ needs, but also communicates it in a way the client understands. She builds trust with her clients through intense focus on their unique personal situations and through strong listening skills. She is also adept at helping clients without clear-cut goals work through the goal-setting process, leading them to understand what is possible in their financial lives.

When not serving clients, Amanda serves as the team’s HR Director – helping team members develop their career paths and matching them with firm training and resources to assist their growth and development.

Amanda earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Finance with an emphasis in Real Estate from the University of Missouri in 2008. Before joining Moneta, she spent nine years as an Associate Wealth Management Advisor at Northwestern Mutual. She also holds some of the industry’s highest professional designations as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, a Chartered Financial Consultant® and a Chartered Life Underwriter®.

Outside of work, Amanda helps with the St. Louis Pancreatic Cancer Network, an organization near and dear to her after losing a grandparent to pancreatic cancer. She loves spending time with her husband, two young boys and their extended families, who primarily live in the St. Louis area.
