As a Senior Tax Strategist, Abby Donnellan, CPA helps clients better understand complex tax matters and planning opportunities. “I really enjoy collaborating with my fellow team members to deliver a comprehensive approach that provides the best possible outcomes for our clients,” said Abby. A resourceful problem solver, Abby also keeps the team and clients up to date on the latest tax changes and how those may impact investment strategies, estate plans, and their overall financial plan.

Abby brings over a decade of experience in taxation to her role. Prior to joining Moneta, Abby served as a Tax Manager at a large local St. Louis based accounting firm, where she specialized in complex individual, business, and trust tax matters. In conjunction with tax return preparation, she worked heavily in income tax and estate tax planning for high-net worth clients.

Abby graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with both a Bachelor and Master of Science in Accountancy. She holds the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation and is currently pursuing a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional certification. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Professionally speaking, Abby is enthusiastic about mentoring young staff, being a subject matter expert, and teaching others. She previously dedicated her time volunteering for Rise Community Development, serving on the Young Professionals Board.

Outside of the office, Abby enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 daughters – outside if they are able, and working on house projects, like painting and gardening.
