Managing Partner, Tom O’Meara, featured on Top 100 St. Louisans You Should Know to Succeed in Business List

ST. LOUIS, MO, April 19, 2017Moneta Group is proud to announce that Managing Partner Tom O’Meara, MBA, AIF® has been named to St. Louis Small Business Monthly’s “100 St. Louisans You Should Know to Succeed in Business” list.

The publication profiles 100 influential St. Louis professionals nominated by a group of community leaders and selected by a panel of judges based on their overall contributions to the business community.

All the honorees are considered to be notable achievers who have unselfishly helped others succeed. To recognize these honorees, SBM hosted a business luncheon yesterday featuring keynote speaker Ben Newman, Performance Coach.

O’Meara has been a Partner at Moneta Group for 30 years, serving his clients and developing his advisory team with great success. In 2015, he was selected to serve as the firm’s Chairman of the Board and Managing Partner.

“Tom took on the responsibilities for managing Moneta Group three years ago, and his leadership and enthusiasm have led the firm to new heights locally and nationally,” said Steve Finerty, Partner at Moneta Group and 30-year colleague of O’Meara. “Plus, he does it all with a big smile on his face and a uniquely positive attitude for life.”

Partner, Linda Pietroburgo, echoed those sentiments. “Tom leads with his whole heart and soul; he binds us together around a positive, can-do culture rooted in the desire to take exceptional care of our clients.”

As Managing Partner of the rapidly growing independent RIA, Tom has worked tirelessly to help develop the firm, which currently advises on over $20 billion in assets. Notably, during his tenure as Managing Partner, he has helped to encourage the development and implementation of a sustainable business plan.

This model provides future generations of advisors with an opportunity to learn the ins and outs of the advisory business, provides a succession plan for senior advisors, and ensures that client relationships are multigenerational.

“I have been blessed to work with Tom for the last 25 years and have witnessed firsthand his true passion—helping others succeed,” said Sherre Flavin, a veteran member of O’Meara’s advisory team. “His unwavering dedication to making sure clients obtain financial success and employees achieve career success are abundant.”

Flavin continued, “He’s proven to be a patient mentor, leader, partner and friend. All of which have empowered me to build a prosperous and rewarding career for myself.  I’m living proof that knowing him is a game changer.”

Outside of the office, Tom shares his passion for helping others with several non-profit organizations in the St. Louis community. His passion for those struggling with mental health has lead him to serve on the boards for Mental Health America and the Independence Center. In January of 2016, Tom was one of the Independence Center’s dancers for their signature Dancing with the St. Louis Stars event, for which he personally raised over $100,000.

“He believes that everyone matters and can make a positive difference in the world,” said Finerty. “It’s truly infectious—and is perhaps his greatest gift.”
