Moneta athlete partnership

Moneta is a proud Summer Partner of Max Herendeen.

Max was recently honored as a GCAA PING All-America Second Team member, making him the fourth freshman in Illinois history to receive All-America honors and the first to be named to the second team or better. He secured a spot on the NCAA All-Championship Team with a top-15 finish in stroke play at the NCAA Championship, where he tied for second place, just one shot off the national championship pace. His consistent performance throughout the season earned him the title of Big Ten Freshman of the Year and a unanimous selection to the All-Big Ten First Team.

Max’s impressive freshman year also included GCAA PING All-Midwest Region and GCAA All-Freshman Team honors. He played in all 13 stroke play tournaments and match play at the Cypress Point Classic and the NCAA Championship. Leading the team with a stroke average of 70.87, the best ever recorded by an Illinois freshman, Max’s performance ranks as the 10th-best single-season mark in program history.

A key highlight of Max’s season was his victory at the NCAA Stanford Regional, where he led the Illini to the team title with a 13-under 197, including the lowest individual round of the season (63) for the Illini. He also finished as runner-up in his collegiate debut at the Sahalee Players Championship and led the team with 10 top-2 finishes. Max concluded the season with 24 rounds of par or better and 12 rounds in the 60s, both team-highs.

His talent, dedication, and drive to succeed perfectly align with our values at Moneta. We’re excited to support him as he navigates the exciting world of collegiate golf and beyond.
