Diane Compardo, Moneta Group Principal and 2015 MAC “Women of Distinction Award” Recipient

ST. LOUIS—March 10, 2015—For Moneta Group Principal Diane Compardo, 2015 is shaping up to be a fantastic year. It may only be March, but already she has been honored with four different awards at the local and national level for her outstanding commitment to both career and community.

Nationally, Compardo has been named to the Financial Times Inaugural Top 100 Female Advisors in the United States.

Launched in November 2014, this list recognizes the top women financial advisors across the United States. To qualify for the list, advisors have to manage at least $200 million in assets under management (AUM) and have 10 years of experience. Qualified advisors were then scored on six attributes: AUM, AUM growth rate, compliance record, experience, industry certifications, and online accessibility.

The advisors chosen hail from 25 states and Washington D.C. On average, the selected women have 24 years of experience and manage $1.8 billion in assets. Compardo is the only advisor from Missouri to be recognized.

“It’s clear that women, who make up 51% of the US population, are under-represented in the ranks of financial advisors. That is why we decided it was time to celebrate their achievements,” says Loren Fox, Director of Research for Ignites Research and head of the FT 100 project, as quoted in the Financial Times. “This inaugural edition of the FT 100 highlights the tremendous success of many women financial advisors in the US, achieved through a variety of business models.”

Compardo has also been honored locally for her success, most notably with the Missouri Athletic Club’s Women of Distinction Award. This honor recognizes women throughout the Greater St. Louis community who have distinguished themselves through their success and service. Those selected are women who, through their leadership, character, professional achievements, and dedication to service, have enriched the community and contributed to the advancement of all women. Compardo is one of six recipients of the 2015 award.

Compardo’s recognition in the industry is no surprise to her colleagues at Moneta Group Investment Advisors, LLC. She is the founder and Managing Principal of The Compardo Team at Moneta Group which has grown to twelve trusted advisors, half men and half women, under her tenure.

Compardo joined Moneta Group in 1997 as the firm’s first Professional Consultant – a newly-created position to suit her unique talents and expertise. Today, Moneta Group employs 36 Professional Consultants, 18 of whom are women. In 2007, she became the first Professional Consultant to be promoted to Principal, ushering in an era of internal promotion within the firm. Moneta Group has since promoted ten Professional Consultants to the role of Principal, three of whom have been women.

“Diane has set a strong example for others to follow,” says Gene Diederich, CEO of Moneta Group. “She is a role model for women in her industry and is consistently sought out for advice and guidance by women of Moneta and beyond. I am thrilled to see her recognized for her achievements.”

Outside of Moneta, Compardo is very active in the St. Louis community. She currently serves as Treasurer of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Finance Committee for Covenant House Missouri (CHMO). Her commitment and service to the organization was recently recognized by Covenant House Missouri, which named her the 2015 co-recipient of the Lilian Musial Beacon of Hope Award. In addition, Compardo recently received the Town & Style Reaching Out Award, which recognizes exceptional nonprofit organizations and volunteers.

“It is truly an honor to be recognized with these awards, particularly because they are not only for professional excellence, but also dedication to the community. I am very grateful,” says Compardo. “My priority is and always will be to serve my clients and ensure that my team and I have their best interests in mind at all times.”
