Moneta Group Charitable Foundation Partners with Mental Health America of Eastern Missouri

ST. LOUIS—April 7, 2014—Mental health is fundamental to the quality of every human life, but it is something that many people tend to push aside. That is why the Moneta Group Charitable Foundation (MGCF) has chosen Mental Health America of Eastern Missouri (MHA) as one of their strategic partners in 2014, providing them with a grant of $25,000.

This grant is dedicated to promoting mental health and to improving the care and treatment of persons living with mental illness through advocacy, education, and service.

To do that, Mental Health America takes a unique, educational approach, providing people who work in the helping professions with specialized training sessions that help to enhance their skills. Learn more about MHA’s approach by visiting www.mha-em.org.

Moneta’s partnership will not only provide MHA with monetary assistance, but also by connecting the organization with the firm’s many contacts and board affiliations. The partnership will help provide three seminars, free of charge, for ten St. Louis-based organizations. This specialty training will be on topics such as addressing stress, busting burn out, reaching resilience, and more.

The two organizations kicked off their partnership on April 2, 2014 with an official check presentation that included Mental Health America of Eastern Missouri’s President, Mark Utterback, and representatives from Moneta Group including Daniel West, Chairman of Moneta Group Charitable Foundation; Tom O’Meara, Moneta Group Principal and MHA partnership champion; and Christie Schmuke, Moneta Group’s Estate Planning Consultant and a MGCF board member.
