Tony Dorn

CFP®, MBA

Since beginning his career Tony has worked to gain a wealth of knowledge in the areas of personal finance, estate planning, investment analysis, insurance design and tax analysis. With this knowledge, he has made an impact on clients and their family’s financial lives for more than 20 years.

Although he does qualified plan advising and institutional investing, Tony’s primary focus is acting as Family CFO for individual families. Whether they are building towards retirement, entering retirement, coordinating a large family estate or just trying to improve and achieve financial independence, the experience and knowledge Tony has acquired over the years provides him the ability and tools to navigate these issues efficiently and effectively.

Tony graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia in 2000 with a B.S. in Consumer and Family Economics – Financial Planning degree.

Prior to joining Moneta in 2002, Tony worked as an investment advisor with Edward Jones, seeing the brokerage side of the industry. It was at this point that he realized a move to a firm with more ability to always act in the client’s best interest was where he wanted to be.

After making that decision and embarking on this career path, he earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2006 and his Masters of Business Administration from Maryville University.

Tony has been and remains active in the community by working on boards and organizations ranging from Support Dogs, Inc to the Mizzou Tiger Club-St. Louis. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement – St. Louis. Outside of work and community involvement, Tony enjoys skiing, golfing and has an intense passion for Mizzou athletics. He resides in Chesterfield with his wife, daughter and four sons.
