Matthew Erker began working at Moneta in May of 2016, joining the Sheehan Kittner team as an Advisor. He graduated from DePaul University with a degree in Business Management. Matthew is a Certified Public Accountant and is studying to become a Certified Financial Planner.
Before coming to Moneta Group, Matthew lived in Chicago where he worked for PriceWaterhouse Coopers, Alvarez and Marsal, and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. At A&M he worked in the Transaction Advisory Group, assisting both private equity and corporate clients in buy/sell side due diligence and tax structuring. At PWC, he focused on tax compliance working with hedge funds and private equity clients. Matthew believes these experiences provide a different perspective when evaluating client’s unique situations. Matthew enjoys the comprehensiveness Moneta offers to its clients and the long-term relationships that develop.
Originally from St. Louis, Matthew and his wife moved back after living and working in Chicago for 14 years. They live in the Central West End with their dog. Outside of Moneta, Matthew enjoys training for triathlons, reading, and cooking. With his recent move back to St. Louis, he is actively becoming more involved in the community, especially with city development around the Central West End.
