When it comes to client advocacy, Kim Johnson places the highest importance on cultivating relationships built on assurance, confidentiality, and respect. She uses her significant expertise in financial strategy and consulting to help both individual and institutional clients achieve their goals and objectives. “By providing comprehensive advice that touches on every aspect of a client’s financial situation, we can help our clients simplify their lives and put them on a path for success,” she says.

Prior to joining Moneta Group, Kim spent more than 11 years at Brownson, Rehmus & Foxworth, Inc., a Chicago-based independent financial advisory firm, recently ranked No. 13 in Financial Advisor Magazine’s RIA Ranking 2015 based on total assets under management (AUM) as of December 31, 2014. In her role as a trusted advisor, Kim provided comprehensive financial advice to high net worth families and corporate executives, customizing a financial plan based on their unique circumstances and objectives. She advised her clients on a wide variety of planning areas, including exploration of financial goals, investment planning, risk capacity and tolerance, cash flow planning, liquidity and debt management, executive compensation and benefits, wealth transfer between generations, estate administration, philanthropic objectives, income and estate taxes, and risk management. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Kim enjoys working closely with her clients so that she can understand all aspects of their financial lives and bring them the highest level of service and advice to best meet their objectives.

Kim earned her MBA in Finance and Strategy from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and her B.S. in Transportation and Logistics from the United States Merchant Marine Academy. She started her business career as a strategic management consultant, having spent more than five years working for Accenture.

Active in the St. Louis charitable community, Kim dedicates much of her attention to education related organizations.  Through her work with Marian Middle School, where she serves as Vice-Chair and Treasurer, Kim is passionate about their core mission; breaking the cycle of poverty though education.   She is also involved at Forsyth School, serving in the past as a member and  President of the Board of Trustees.  Kim and her husband Brendan enjoy St. Louis’s array of performing arts, and are avid supporters of the Shakespeare Festival.

In her free time, Kim enjoys reading, traveling, and exploring different types of food and wine. Most of all, she enjoys the time she spends with her husband and their two children.
