As Marketing and Communications Manager for Moneta Group, Emily Barlean serves as the gatekeeper of the firm’s brand – the ‘voice’ of Moneta. She works to make the firm look its best at all times and ensure that the firm‘s exceptional service and accomplishments are not only internal knowledge, but also public knowledge.
Emily received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications, with a minor in Marketing, from Concordia University–Seward and her Master’s in Communications Management from Webster University. Prior to joining Moneta in 2013, Emily spent five years at Concordia Publishing House as Senior Public Relations Specialist and Social Media Manager. There, she expanded her expertise and learned the importance of storytelling and proactivity in the field of marketing and communications, skills that she continues to use today.
At Moneta, Emily strives to constantly bring a fresh perspective to the firm’s communication efforts. Using her experience and expertise, Emily works to create a proactive marketing and communications strategy that goes above and beyond the needs of the firm and its advisors.
Outside of the office, Emily is an active member of the St. Louis community. She is passionate about education for children, increasing understanding of generational differences, and equal rights for women. She also enjoys traveling, cooking, and visiting her family in Nebraska.
