“Having wealth often leads to complex financial situations,” says Moneta principal Mark Heffernan. “As a Family CFO, I consider it my responsibility to ease the burden on my clients in dealing with those complexities. I want to alleviate their fears about handling their finances.”

To help clients reach their financial goals, Mark says the key element is the level of trust that exists between his clients and his team. “Our structure at Moneta Group ensures that clients’ interests are ahead of our own and gives them the confidence that we are truly giving unbiased advice. It is our hope that this allows clients to shed their financial worries and do the things they do best,” he adds.

Mark joined Moneta Group as a principal in 2003 with sixteen years of industry experience, including time with Price Waterhouse and A.G. Edwards in St. Louis. Mark earned his BSBA in economics in 1986 from University of Missouri and his MBA in finance in 1991 from Saint Louis University. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a Personal Financial Specialist.

Mark is the past president of the Chaminade Alumni Association. He is currently the vice-chairman of the Chaminade Board of Trustees. In addition, he currently serves on the Planned Giving Cabinet for Barnes Jewish Hospital.

Mark enjoys playing golf and tennis. He and his wife, Cindy, have three children.
