Communication and trust are the keys to Ken Bower's approach to serving as a Family CFO. According to Ken, "Working with a limited number of clients allows us to have an intimate knowledge of each family member's specific goals and dreams. For each client, our team outlines a roadmap for financial success. Then, we make sure the plan is executed and implemented as designed." By keeping lines of communication open, Ken and his brother, Matt, have built long-term relationships with families. "We want to ensure that each of our relationships is mutually beneficial and designed to last a lifetime," he says. The Bower team currently works with 60 families in 15 states throughout the country. Prior to joining Moneta Group, Ken worked for Price Waterhouse and was on the leadership teams of three startup companies. He earned his B.A. from Dartmouth College and his MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern. He has also earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation. An active member of the St. Louis community, Ken serves as the president of the Dartmouth Club of St. Louis and sits on the Executive Committee of Young Friends of the Art Museum Board. He is also actively involved with six other volunteer boards.
An avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, Ken enjoys cheering on the home team when not working. Fluent in French and Spanish, he also enjoys travel and leisure reading. He and his wife Mary have one child, Joseph, and all are proud members of Forest Park Forever.
