Knowing and understanding his clients are at the heart of Moneta Principal Doug Weber’s role as a Family CFO. “I believe that it is critically important to listen to our clients and their specific goals and objectives,” he says. “While many of us have similar wants and needs, the families and clients I work with have  their  own viewpoint, thoughts and desires. It is essential that we understand what our clients want and need in order for us to make a significant difference in helping them accomplish their goals.”

Prior to joining Moneta Group as a Principal in 1997, Doug had a successful career in accounting , income tax planning, financial planning and business. He was most recently a Partner at Stone Carlie, LLC CPAs & Consultants and also worked as Senior Manager for Grant Thornton International and KPMG LLC  (formerly Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co.).

Doug earned his BSBA in accounting from University of Missouri – Columbia in 1978 and has numerous hours towards his Masters of Taxation. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Personal Financial Specialist.

In addition to serving clients as a Family CFO, Doug is involved with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Missouri State Board of Accountancy.  He is a member of Westwood Country Club and Meadowbrook Country Club, current vice-president and past chairman of St. Louis Men’s Group Against Cancer and has been involved with Jewish Family & Children’s Services, Jewish Community Center and Shaare Emeth Congregation, where he currently serves as a member of the Investment  and Endowment Committee.

When not assisting his clients, Doug enjoys spending time with his family and friends, following the hometown St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Rams, playing golf, tennis and racquetball, skiing and reading.  He and his wife, Sheryl, have two sons, Brian and Bradley.
